Hi Jari,

Do you have other Autodesk products installed? Depending on which ones, something may be running in the background.

If not, then perhaps restarting the computer before trying the archive operation will eliminate any running processes.

If neither of these are the case, then perhaps, after restart, delete the whole folder and run the experimental installation again.

Make *sure* there are no other Autodesk applications installed before trying this.

If you continue to get errors while trying to archive the folder (and another restart doesn't help), or if deleting the autodesk folder fails, then we may need to figure out what file is failing to archive and either determine how to skip it and still get what we want, or discover how to make it archivable. Not sure how we will do that, so lets wait to see if it is necessary.

Thanks,

Steven

Ok, so please could you send your webdeploy log to my email (josef.kucera@autodesk.com)?

To retrieve that file go to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk using Windows Explorer and send me the file "autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log". Let me know if you have any issues finding your log and I can provide more support.

there are couple of things you might also check:

(https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/a360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Network-C...)

The posted log file terminates abruptly (without the usual error indications), so I am thinking that the installation process crashed. Is this what the dialog in the screenshot indicates?

If so, this is a somewhat new phenomena that we haven't quite figured out yet, and we need to capture more data. To do this, save the following text as a text file ending in ".reg"

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\streamer.exe]
"DumpFolder"=hex(2):25,00,55,00,53,00,45,00,52,00,50,00,52,00,4f,00,46,00,49,\
 00,4c,00,45,00,25,00,5c,00,44,00,65,00,73,00,6b,00,74,00,6f,00,70,00,00,00
"DumpCount"=dword:00000001
"DumpType"=dword:00000001

Double-click the file and answer all prompts in the affirmative. (if interested, more information on what is happening here)

Once that is complete, run the installation again, and there should be a file similar to streamer.exe.abcd.dmp on your desktop.

If archiving that file doesn't make it small enough to post here, then pm me with an e-mail I can send an invitation to with access to an upload service.

Thanks,

Steven

(The file streamer.exe.372.dmp does not have a valid extension for an attachment and has been removed.)

regards

Jari

Good morning Steven,

I uploaded the file. I hope you can find solution for this problem.

Regards

Jari

Hello Jari,

Thanks for the dump file.

Unfortunately, I could not get extremely detailed information from it since that version of the streamer is missing some required analysis files.

However, I could tell enough to know that it is crashing in a relatively low-level networking component provided by a third party. That third party has been updated since we consumed it, so it's possible that someone else has resolved the problem for us, so I have generated an experimental version of the installation program and posted it here.

There is some chance that this will resolve the problem. If it does, then we will need to go through some processes to adopt the updated dependency in the standard distribution of the installer (and Fusion). Until then, you should be able to run fusion, but it's likely auto updates will fail.

If this does not solve the problem, then I am going to have to ask you to capture one more dump file with another experimental version of the installer which I am still working on making available if your are willing to do so.

Thanks for your help.

Steven

Hi Steven,

Thank you for this so far. Now I can install Fusion 360 but I can't use it. See photo. When I hit Support Article I go to the support pages where I'm logged in with my name. The problem seem to be that there is no "No sign-in window is displayed when you start the product for the first time".

Regards

Jari
