Can you export the whole thing as f3z? You can go to the Open Details on Web link and download the f3z from the web view. This file will upload just like any f3d, with the exception that it rebuilds the links between designs.

Either that or open the linked file and break those other problem links first.

(edit: actually I'm not having any trouble breaking nested links, first just break the top link and the nested ones should be breakable)

Please let me know if you need more help.

I copied a design within a project and broke all links in that design so I could export a .f3d file.

When right clicking on the parent in browser tree to export, I get this message:

When going to file, export, I get this message, but have the option to export in non .f3d formats:

First, it seems like I should have the option to export in non .f3d formats for designs with referenced components when using the first export method like I do using the second method.

Second, as I said, I copied this design and broke the linked components specifically to export a .f3d file. There are no linked components, but its acting as if there are. The only anomaly I can think of is that in the original file I copied, the linked component has linked components, so its 2 layers of linking. I only have the option to break the link on the imported component though, not the components imported into the imported component:

I need the .f3d export for a client by tomorrow morning..

Thanks Phil! My mistake, I did not realize I had to break the nested links as well after breaking the parent link. Problem solved. Much appreciated!
