I can only guess, but I think there may be a file stored locally that may be bad. If you share those log files I mentioned, I would be able to tell you more about that nature of the issue and possibly give you some precise instructions on how to solve the issue with the current design.

Or another way to test my theory is to use the Fusion Cleaner tool in the below link.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-do-an-automatic-Clean-Uninstall-for-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html

Make sure you select Yes to remove the locally cached files. Then re-install from the Fusion 360 website, by selecting download free trial.

http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/free-trial

Either way, I'm glad to hear that you have the file open now. I'm happy to look into it further if you want to share the log files, also.

Thanks,

Hi @BleysIngram,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community and thank you for posting!

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue when opening a file. Did you get the error when you tried to open the file from the data panel? Would you be able to share a public link to the design with me? Also, please attach the diagnostic log files so that I can take a closer look at the issue.

Thanks for the share link. I was able to download and open the design without any issue. You may also want to try doing this from your own share link.

If you work in offline mode, does it allow you to open the file? See the below link for the full instructions (see option 1).

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fusion-360-Difficulties-Uploading-Saving-or-Opening.html

Could you upload a copy of your diagnostic log files? There is a command in the help menu that will collect the files for you.

The log files will contain greater insight into the nature of the error. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
