Chain Selection Bug

This bug has been around for a while and I was wondering when it will get fixed?

When using the offset face tool in the patch environment if the tool is set to not chain select faces it still does unless you select it then deselect it....this is a major pain when doing a lot of offsetting...

Also why do I always have to rotate or move a view for face selection to start working?

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the post. Yes, you are correct, the Offset bug has not been fixed yet. There are actually two bugs filed against it: FUS-30013 and FUS-28495. I will prod the folks who are assigned this bug to see if a fix can be accelerated.

The other issue is Fusion-wide, unfortunately. It's a general focus issue. Sometimes Fusion just loses track of the mouse, and you have to click in the window to re-establish focus for selection to work again. That one has been hard to track down, but it is also a bit hard to reproduce. I did find, in trying your exact case that I can reproduce it 100% of the time if I am running Screencast. I know that I have seen it other times, so I don't think that explains everything, but it might explain your video. If I:

Start recording a screencast
Choose Offset from the pulldown (if I choose Offset from the marking menu, it doesn't happen)

then I see this situation every time. I'll feed that into the folks looking at that focus problem.

The screencast focus bug has been around for quite a while, I've reported it a few times.
