I have also had this problem since using slice view a few months ago. The only way I can get it to "unslice" is to invoke a section view (if there is one) and then uncheck Analysis. Looks like this bug has been around a while, any ideas on progress?

Thanks..Henry

I've had this issue in a few projects where unless I uncheck "slice" before closing a sketch, the whole model stays sliced as if it's a section view.

I don't know why the screencast won't attach but here it is:

Hi @sambirchenough

Thanks for posting! It certainly looks like you are seeing some unintended behavior, but I have been unable to reproduce the issue on my end.

First off, I would check to make sure your graphics drivers are up to date and check to see if this issue still occurs if you limit graphical effects for performance. Also, if you are using any peripheral devices, please ensure that their drivers are up to date.

Does this behavior occur if you do not have the layout grid on?

If you are able to consistently reproduce this behavior with a certain design, please share the design with me and we will continue looking into this issue. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions - I'm happy to help!

Thanks Paul. Bug is repeatable on both of my Macs with and without limited graphics (unchecking "use high-res graphics" doesn't change anything either). All graphics drivers / peripheral drivers up to date. One of the several design files I have this issue with attached.

I've also run across this a few times (mentioned in the thread that @HughesTooling referred to), and it is reproducible also with the archive that @sambirchenough attached to this post. Just open "Sketch 2" in the "Top Half"-component and check the slice box, then stop the sketch. The slice stays active, and to turn it off you need to re-edit the sketch and uncheck the slice box.

Here's a workflow that has a repeatable problem with slice. If you create the sketch in the main component then drag it into the top half component you get the problem with slice persisting after closing the sketch.

Here's a screencast, shows creating a sketch in the top half component works without any problems, then show a sketch dragged in causes the problem.
