James,

I invited you just a moment ago. The file name I am trying to open is ( T1XX DOE fixture ). If I export the file as a .f3z file it is 13.5mb so not a large file if you ask me. I am about to reupload it and see what it does.

Edit 1: It locks up as well after re-uploading the file. There are actually two files that lock up. the one aforementioned and it has a file referenced in it which is just the T1XX file. I cannot open either so I believe it is the T1XX file that is the cause. But is makes no sense as I was working on it yesterday and saved last night to head home and could not open this morning.

Having an issue with a file I worked on yesterday. Saved yesterday evening before leaving work and cannot open it today. I get a full program lock up when trying to open it on multiple computers.

-tried multiple computers

-no error, program just locks up until forced close

-cache deleted still does not open

-offline mode does not work

-reboot does not work

-previous version will not open

I have attached the log files.

Hi @ben.cross1985,

Can you invite me to the project (james.youmatz@autodesk.com)? I want to see if I can open it on my machine. Also, what is the name of the file? From the logs, I really didn't see anything stand out, but having the file name will allow me to search more specifically. Side note - one thing I would be curious about is file size. If you export the file, how big is the file? Can you then reupload the file and it opens fine?

Thanks,

Hi @ben.cross1985,

I have been testing this with @kate.raskauskas a bit today and I think there might be something deeper going on. I tested around with this file and it still seems unable to be opened. Let me chat with development and see what might be going on. One thing to try that Kate recommended - is to visit A360 and export the file as a DWG file, reupload it, and try to open. That seemed to work for us a couple of times.

Thanks,

Ok, I will try exporting it as that, if I can get it as a solid with bodies that would be better and I can just redo my cam work and just be set back a few hours of work vs. a week with a deadline looming to produce this part.

I tried exporting a few different versions as DWG and reuploading them. No avail they all seem to just lock Fusion up. What is really getting me though is if I take my original STEP file of the part I started with and upload it into fusion it locks up fusion as well. When 4 days ago it worked fine. I am assuming something in the update this week as gone awry and is causing this issue, but did not manifest until my save last night.
