Two ways to change the width:

With sketch pallet undocked grab the lower right corner of the dialog and resize.
If the dialog is docked, then the title bar has a grip that allows the dialog to be resized.

One thing to watch out for when resizing the sketch palette, make sure it looks ok with the circle command running because all the icons move to the left and the text on the palette gets trimmed.

Well I was initially embarrassed that it was so easy to resize the dialog box, as I thought I had already tried that.

But since this initial post I have had to manually resize it several more times as for some reason it keeps expanding.

I think there is still an issue here.

(As a test - I just restarted Fusion and there was no issue, but in the video I created before this test, my start of Fusion test session this morning - you can clearly see that it was expanded again.)

There is an improvement in the backlog (accepted status) for the size of the sketch palette. It will help to give the below Idea some votes in the Fusion 360 Ideastation.
