Cylinder rotation

Hello All,

I'm just now cutting my teeth on Fusion 360 coming from 123D Design. My question has to do with cylinder rotation.

I've attached a small screen capture to narrate from, here goes ...

Is there any way to have more than one "measure point(?), located to the right of the green arrow along the perimeter of the cylinder.

When using Inspect > Measure I find it necessary to rotate two opposing cylinders with the "measure points(?) facing each other so as to get the shortest distance between the two objects. Is there an easy way to orient these reference points for distance measurement?

Hopefully the attached capture will help to explain it more clearly. I have a lot of patience coming from 123D Design and welcome any suggestions and or assistance for this topic.

Regards,

Chris

Hi Saeed,

Thank you so much for putting together the screencast and working through this.

Yes, this will accomplish what I'm trying to ultimately do. I'm having to learn this all over again as I have not used any AutoDesk products for some time now. I appreciate you taking the time and the quick response to my inquiry.

Regards,

Chris
