I notice if I change the containment settings to Tool Center on Boundary or Tool Outside Boundary, the toolpath will generate successfully.

Does that help at all?

Hello all, I was trying to CAM a similar part but kept running into an empty tool path error. After thinking about it more I tried a simplistic approach just to get a tool path but am now running into an error/bug.

Please see the attached file and let me know if I'm doing something to cause this error and/or if there might be a workaround to try and use RAMP. Otherwise I'm guessing my next best option is 3D CONTOUR but am open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm running Fusion 360 on a new MacBook Pro.

Thank you for your response @innovatenate ! I've played around with the Containment setting per your recommendation and I do get a valid tool path now, thank you!

Getting past that I'm struggling to get what I consider to be a "clean" tool path for this operation. I'm sure it's the type of tool path I'm trying to use and/or the settings within. I'll make another post for that as it's beyond a technical issue and more user error/inexperience.

Thanks again!
