I run Fusion on my laptop, and normally I can scroll with the touchpad (like on mac, two fingers up/down scroll gesture) and this allows me to zoom in/out on the design. However there are areas where if the mouse cursor is positioned there, the scrolling does not do anything.

These areas include a margin of perhaps a few hundred pixels around the 'Browser' on left hand side, a few hundred pixels around the top ribbon bar, and anywhere in the vicinity of the view cube in top right. The display settings at the bottom and timeline at bottom don't have this issue. If I minimize the Browser the scrolling now works in the area surrounding the browser.

This issue does not occur when using a wired mouse with a scroll wheel, with that I am able to use the scroll wheel to zoom with the cursor in all these areas.

Running on Windows 8.1 x64, Surface 3

I have a new 2017 MacBook Pro (Radeon 560) and have noticed this as well. While the touchpad in general is a joy to work with zooming is very sluggish.

Rotating in the viewport is very smooth, panning a little too slow. Zooming also seems to work with the pinch motion, but also much more laggy and sluggish than with any other application.

E.g. I don't see this behavior in Blender. Buttery smooth navigation, as usual.

Hi.

I also have a scrolling issue/request.. It would be really nice to have the ability to scroll left/right instead of just up/down while navigating the Schematic or Board... I hate to have to un-zoom just to get of the left most or right most side of the screen... I feel like that is a MAJOR handicap and it takes away from intuitively being able to function and navigate the boards/sheets; it just adds un-necessary frustration to the user experience.

Or is there a way to set some preference make this navigation a lot smoother? So far I haven't noticed it.

Is this feature protected by some patent or copyright? Seems like it's a no brainer and every program should have it? Or is it some kernel level navigation and mapping core issue that would make the whole house of cards fall apart if it got disturbed?

Thank you.

Michal.

Mac OS 11.6.8

2013 MBP-Ret.
