OK, so I tried to create a new sheet metal rule, and I lost every other rule.

And creating new rules works very strange. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't.

Same behaviour on two different PCs. One with Windows 7 and one with Windows 10.

Will link the file and screenshot.

@Ex_Machina_Engineering Thanks for posting to the forum and for sharing your file. When I open the file, I see all of the rules and can change them.

Can you right click on the component Motor Mount:1 and make sure that it is the active component by clicking Activate? That shouldn't matter, but might allow you to see the rules.

Another thing would be to make certain that you are in the Parametric modeling environment. Have a look at this article:

How to switch between a parametric or direct modeling environment in Autodesk Fusion 360?

Please let us know if this helps or if you need more assistance and thanks so much for being a part of the community.

Yup, component activated, parametric modeling, everything checked.

The point is I get the same thing when I try to make a new sheet metal part. So the library is corrupt somehow. The thing is:

-How do I fix it?

-And how do I avoid it in the future?

P.S. You can call me Kostas

Hi @Ex_Machina_Engineering

While I am unsure of why the library has been removed from your file, I do have some thoughts on getting the generic library rules back. I have attached a file that has used all of the sheet metal rules from the default library to this forum thread. When you open this file, you should be able to right click on the rules used in the designs and select "Copy to library" as shown below to add the default steel, stainless steel, and aluminum rules to your library.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

We would like to find out what went wrong in the first place here, but I have been unable to reproduce on my end. Please reach out if you are able to recreate this problem or see it occur again and I am happy to have a look. Kudos for bringing this to our attention.
