Hi @fredgenius,

Thanks for getting back to me! Sorry to hear that my suggestions didn't pan out!

To help me troubleshoot this further, I am going to need a little more information. Could you send me your diagnostic log files? To collect these, click the "?" in the upper right corner of Fusion and select "Diagnostic Log Files" from the drop down menu. This will package up everything else I should need to see to troubleshoot this issue further into a zip file that can be attached right to your reply here.

Thanks in advance for the information! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!

Cheers,

OS is Windows 7 64bit. Windows crashed while I was trying to shut down Fusion 360 some months ago, now I get two error messages 'Upload failed. Original File: ' and a 'GUID' like filename. When I shut down Fusion 360 now, I get 'Uploads Pending <0/2> files' message, but the uploads never complete. How do I get rid of these messages please?

Hi @fredgenius,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion community!

I'm sorry to hear about these error messages you are seeing! This issue seems to pop up every now and then and as such, we have a great article linked here that provides some possible solutions for this. Could you try working through each of the solutions to see if that causes those messages to disappear? Before working through that article though, I would back up your local cache.

To do this, navigate to the below directory on your machine:

%localappdata%/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/*UNIQUE_ID*/W.login

I would just like to note that there will be no folder called *UNIQUE_ID* so you will not be able to copy/paste that into a Windows Explorer window. The unique ID is an alphanumeric string that is tied to your Autodesk account. For instance, my unique ID is WAPSJRUV92MF. It may be easier to navigate there manually.

Regardless, within that W.login folder, there will be a folder called "F". This is your local cache. You should put a copy of this on your desktop or another easily accessible location on your machine.

Once you work through each solution, I would go through your projects to make sure that all of your designs are there and are the most current version. If anything is out of sync, the design should still be in the copy of your local cache, and you can use "File > New Design From File" to get that version back. The only caveat with this is that you would lose the version history of that design.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!

Cheers,

Thanks, I tried workaround 2 and 3 without success, workaround 1 was not
possible as the local file doesn't exist (at least I can't find a file that
matches the guid name).

Any other suggestions?
Actually, I think you gave me just enough info so I could solve it myself!

In the Q folder I found four files with the same guid names as the two files
I'm having trouble with - two with .f3d extensions, two with .f3d._xx
extensions. I deleted them and now Fusion closes without problem.

Many thanks for your help.

Upload documents via connected BIM 360/ACC Docs drive in Windows File Explorer. Having desktop connector installed is required.
Sign out and sign back into the project site.
If uploading files is not working via connected drive (file explorer and desktop connector), try to sign out and sign back in.

Regards,
J Wick
