Hi @Torvaun,

Thank you for the detailed information!

I tested after rotated back the profile to the plane and rotated it again, but I am not able to replicate this at this time.

I will discuss it with my colleagues and circle back here once I have something to share.

Thanks!

File attached. I just want to take the obvious profile, use the outer line as a path, and use the inner line as a guide rail. The preview is exactly the body I want, but it apparently can't be created.

Edit: My screencast is apparently not showing up. http://autode.sk/2kzuM6g

Hi @Torvaun,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

Thank you for posting. It's so weird! As I tested with the design file on my machine, I am able to reproduce this behavior.

And I found there is something in the profile curves - I am going to discuss this internally with our development team!

For the workaround at this point, if I deleted top and bottom curves from the profile and redrew them in the Sketch, I can sweep with the profile.

Can you please let me know how you created this profile so that we may find out why this happens?

Thanks!

The profile was originally created in the same plane as the rails, then rotated 90 degrees. More broadly, the whole thing was created from three intersecting ellipses and a few lines.

Hi @Torvaun,

I was just reported back from our development team and they have logged a bug as internal ID:FUS-36388.

He also found this happens only in parametric mode, so it will be swept in direct modeling unless editing any sketches in your design file.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Thank you.
