Align view to angled section Analysis

Hey,

I created section view on a hexagonal part. The section view is offset by 60 degrees to your usual left, right, front,.... -planes because the feature I want too look at is oriented this way in the hexagonal part.

How do I align my viewport to look straight onto this section, I can only manually try to orbit the camera to achieve that... and never really succeed. In Solidworks for example you could click any surface and click the "normal to" button/icon and however weird this surface is angled the camera would turn so you´d look normal onto the surface.

How do I achieve the same in fusion?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting! I thought you could use "Look at" at the bottom to change the view but I noticed it doesn't work for a face in Section Analysis.

To work around this, I think the easiest way is to create a construction plane and "Look at" it. In the screencast, I'm using "Plane at Angle" to create a construction plane.

This works for a workaround.

But it has me doing the same step twice... creating a plane and setting its offsets. Not really convinient and user friendly.

Should be something easily updatable though, just as a suggestion.
