It's probably due to geometry references or feature dependencies in the timeline.

If you disable parametric timeline mode and work in direct modeling, can you move the bodies as desired?

I hope that helps!

Hey guys, I am having an odd issue. I am working on a large model, and to keep everything organized, I put items into groups, and then those groups into components.

This was working well, but now for some reason, the last 4 bodies I made will not move into groups. The options for "Move to group" are still there, and I can still click on their names on the left, but they just do not move.

I attached a video link below (sorry for poor camera operation), where you can see me try and move the body to a group by clicking and dragging, and by right-clicking and hitting the "move to group" button. I also try to move the body into a group that is already made and already contains bodies and is part of a different component. In case the embed did not work, here is the link: https://youtu.be/AcsqcMR1ioE

All the other bodies in this entire model have given me 0 problems, it is just these 4 most recent ones that are having issues.

I have this issue as well. Sometimes I wont be able to move bodies into groups either by dragging or using the command. throughout the whole design. but other designs open in the seesion will work.

It's the same problem as this user and his screencast is relevant to my issues too.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/unable-to-move-objects-to-group-folder/m-p/7322075#M8273

On some occasions restarting fusion fixes the problem and other times it starts working again eventually.

more info:

1)Unable to move inserted meshes. This to me is indication that something is wrong. I can understand bodies sometimes won't move because of complex links but insert meshes can't interfere with anything to my knowledge

2)Unable to move bodies between components. Creating component from body works fine but moving between them won't work even on new bodies with no connections to anything to new components

3)switching to non parametric modeling does nothing
