Hi Mike,
F3D-export locally wasn't an option at first because it contains Xrefs. I saved a copy in the cloud and than broke the excisting links. After that it was possible to save locally. I decided to check if the problem of the empty bend table as still there and....... It wasn't . It presented the bend table of the same component without problem.
Than I decided to perform the same action in the original file and there to the bend table is working again. I didn't make changes there.
http://autode.sk/2zoV13n

Hi,

I am working on a oven cabinet with a number of sheet metal parts. After extracting several drawings of unfolded parts and inserting the bend tables without any problem, on the last drawing an empty bend table is produced. In existing drawing made before bend table still produces filled bend tables, but when creating any new drawings, only empty ones are produced.

That even happens when I make a seperate component outside the assembly.

It seems a setting has been altered, but I can't find how to restore that.

The only thing I discovered is that what is shown in the picture on the left side there is a folded 'Apollo 750L-120C v48.1' line. In this case a filled bend table was produced. On the right side this line is missing. The derived bend table is empty. I don't know how this difference has occurred and I don't know were to adjust it. In my opinion i havent't changed anything in my way of working.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi @visserCGWTG,

Thanks for posting!

I'm sorry to hear about this issue you have been having in creating bend tables! Unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce this behavior here on my machine. This leads me to believe that the issue might be specific to your design. Would you mind sharing the design with me? The article linked here describes the many ways that you can share your designs to collaborate with others. For the purposes of troubleshooting this issue, I would recommend sharing a public link to the design with me. That will allow me to download and make modifications to the design here on my end while leaving it intact within your project. If for what ever reason you are unable to share the link publicly, feel free to send the link to me directly in a private message.

I'm not certain why, in the drawing that had been done previously, you are able to reference the folded view when it is not present in the drawing. I am also uncertain why referencing that view gives the bend table for you - in my experience, referencing the folded model yields a parts list. But again, without your design, it is a little difficult to troubleshoot this.

Thanks in advance for the information! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!

Cheers,

Hi Mike,
Hereby the public link of the 3D-design. It contains multiple sheet metal parts. I produced I think 13 flat pattern drawings with bend tables until in drawing 14 the problem occured. Fusion createst he flat pattern like before, but when a drwaing is created the Bend table is empty. I have no idea what caused the sudden change. Excisting drawings that worked before still worked the same and created a new identical filled bend table like before, however when a new drawing of the same pasrt like before was generated, in the new flat pattern drawing of it only emptu bend table ere/are generated. The only difference in appearance I could find was that shown in the message.
Is this link sufficient for you?
http://a360.co/2invDCJ
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Pieter

Hi @visserCGWTG,

Any time - I'm always happy to lend a hand!

I just uploaded your design here to my test project, but something strange has happened. When I uploaded the design and opened it, the design's timeline was missing, and all of the sheet metal components weren't designated as such.

I'm not too sure how this happened, but would you mind trying to export a local archive of the design and sending that to me? To do this, click "File" then select "Export" from the drop down menu.

Then, within the resulting dialog box, ensure that you will be exporting an f3d of the design and save it to an easily accessible place on your machine (i.e. your desktop).

Thanks in advance for that archive file! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!

Hello Mike,

It took some time to respond. It was actually time to assemble what was designed and produced with Fusion 360, one of them being the oven cabinet that brought up the "bending table'-issue. The results of the sheet metal parts aregreat. Two of our suppliers both had no issues creating the stainless steel sheet metal parts directly from the from Fusion 360 generated 3D-Step files. A big step skipping most of the 2D-work that was needed before and the translation making the flat pattern the sheet metal producers had to do because of that.

Thanks again!

I include some pictures of the resulting products.

Regards,

Pieter

Hey guys,

I solved it - so the reason for blank bend table appears is:

The 3D model is still in "unfold" mode

Solution:

> Go back to your 3D model

> Fold your part back

> Right-click on your part

> Select Create Drawing

> In the drop-down menu, select flat pattern

I hope this helps the affected users.

Autodesk - can you please put this issue on your map for future fix/update

You can reproduce this issue, by doing the opposite and going into the 3D model, unfold part. Then create and drawing with flat pattern and produce a bend table. I double-checked it.

Cheers,

Muhammad
