I have a request here for Thin Wall Extrude that would work like Web but without the need to extrude to a body. I wanted to make a screencast to demonstrate that sheet metal can't do what I want as someone suggested and noticed a couple of bugs.

First you have an option Depth, if you don't extrude as far as the existing body you can create what looks like 2 bodies but they only show as one in the browser. This doesn't seem right.

Second if you use Web and leave it set to Depth, calling it a second time Depth is the default but there's no arrow so you have to toggle To Next then back to Depth.

Just a question, why do you need an existing body at all and then why you can't just use a flat body. See start of screencast.

Hmm... You raise a very good point here. There are two scenarios where the enclosing body is needed. One is the "To Next" mode:

The other is in the "Extend Curves" mode:

But, if you are in "Depth" mode, and "Extend Curves" is off, in theory, you don't need that geometry:

I'll look into this. It might be possible. But, while we could modify Web to handle some of these cases I agree with you, though, that what we really need is a Thin Feature implementation, because we could extend this into other features (Sweep, Loft, etc).
