topic Threads not visible in Fusion Support Forum

Hi,

I used the pack `n`go on an Inventor 2018 assembly and uploaded into Fusion 360. When i opened the assembly in Fusion 360 the threads on the parts were not visible.

1. Is this normal for threads not to be visible when uploaded into Fusion 360 from Inventor Assembly?

2. Can threads be added to the parts in the assembly while in Fusion 360 environment from the uploaded Inventor assembly?

Thanks

If the threads are cosmetic bitmaps (not modeled), they may get lost in the translation process. The translation process is similar to importing a STEP in that you end up with a dumb solid. There is a thread command in the Model > Create menu that you can use to add those threads back.

There is some neat stuff coming for Inventor & Fusion 360 interoperability. Keep you eyes on the blog for upcoming information about Anycad. I'm not sure it will solve this particular issue, but it could be helpful to be aware, looking forward. I hope this helps!
