Hello, I've been through many forum talks concerning this issue. Although, I don't know where to start following many possible instructions. So, I'd like to ask what's best to properly cater my issue. I have tried reinstalling it hoping that I'd have access the moment I reinstall it, but as how it ran before, the result is still the same. It had me thinking that it's okay because I always have an access to fine internet connection. Though, I'm hoping that I will be using this someday with your assistance,. Thank you very much and God bless to everyone. Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I can help you out with this issue! Just to check - has Fusion even successfully gone online before?

Regardless I will need your application log files and your web services log in order to troubleshoot this further. This guide here will show you how to collect those files.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for sharing those. So Fusion will work on a different computer on the same network, as well as the same computer on a different network? From the logs I can see some network issues:

20171127T221956 E CloudBrowser failed request - exception: WinHttpSendRequest: 12029: A connection with the server could not be established

...Uri: https://compute.api.autodesk.com/product/v2/metadata/fusion360-runtime-config

What happens when you try to enter https://compute.api.autodesk.com/product/v2/metadata/fusion360-runtime-config in a browser? Do you get an error message? It should generate a few lines of text if it allows you to connect. My guess (since you claim it works on other computers or networks) is that maybe an anti-virus or network exception is coming into play for this URL.

Thanks,

I wasn't very clear about works - the computer that connects is on a completely different network. I haven't tried a computer that usually connects, on this network.

When I open your link in a browser, I do get several lines of text.

Hi @Anonymous,

Yea there would be two things I would be interested to see - if the current computer works on a different network or if a different computer works on the same network. This will help narrow down if it is computer specific or network specific. The errors that Fusion is showing is that something is not allowing the connection between your computer and the Fusion 360 servers (that URL) WHEN it is being requested through Fusion. When you try through a web browser it is successful.

Do you have any anti-virus on your computer? If so, can you try adding Fusion and that URL to the white list?

Thanks,

I'm not sure how I can try this PC on another network. I could possibly install Fusion 360 on a work laptop and bring it home to try?

I have Windows Defender running and Qustodio Professional. I disable both of them with no difference. Do you think I need to uninstall and reinstall Fusion 360?

Hi @Anonymous,

Perhaps, but I'm leaning towards no. This doesn't seem like a "fusion was once working, but now is not" situation which usually warrants the uninstall/reinstall. I really feel like either an AV software or network configuration is coming into play here since a specific URL cannot be reached. The question (which is hard to pinpoint) is why can that URL not be reached via Fusion, but can through a web browser. Again, usually AV comes into play.

One quick test - if you create a new windows profile user and install Fusion on that profile. Does Fusion run or do you get the same error? This might be helpful in pinpointing if it is a network issue or not.

Thanks,

I had the same problem recently. Fusion 360 was working fine until one day I put PC to sleep with Fusion open. When PC woke up next day, Fusion window was frozen and not responding so I ctrl-alt-del and shut it down from task manager. Then I started Fusion360 from desktop icon and it was sooo slow, took some 5 minutes to start and, when it started, it didn't want to go online.

Tried everything I could find, deleted login file, deleted cache files, didn't help. Uninstalled, made clean install, got even worse, now Fusion was giving this error message "sufficient data not found to switch to offline mode" and would not start at all. I was about to give up and move back to Solidworks to finish my work when I accidentally unplugged my network router. That did the trick, after I plugged my router back in, Fusion360 went back to normal as nothing happened.

Hope this will help someone.
