Hello,
I heve been experiencing this problem for some time. Earlier I projected my unfolded design to a sketch and then exported dxf using right click on the skech in the browser ant choosing "Save as dxf". Some time the files were ok, and some time they were skeewed just like on the image below.

Now, when the function Export as DXF is addet to sheet metal toolbox. The output file looks like this every time.
What is more, when I try to make drawing from unfolded design i can't **** to the bend lines like before, but this problem is less important.

Hi and welcome to the Fusion 360 community.

Sorry to hear this is a pain for you. Can you possibly share one of your sheet metal models that gives this bad result? I'd like to investigate this issue you have found.

@Anonymous

Unfortunately, or fortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue in the latest release candidate build. I'm testing the build for our next hotfix (for other issues) and get this in ACAD when I export the flat pattern as dxf.

What version of AutoCAD are you using? I'm using the latest, so perhaps that's a factor. Or, some other fix in the candidate build solved this. Also, I'm assuming you are on Windows, is that true?

We need to narrow this down, so let's keep talking. Please let me know if you can find any other factors that may be affecting your output from flat. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I'm pretty sure that it is not a problem with ACAD. Actually I am using ZWCAD 2018, but other viewers doesn't open the files which are corrupted (like .dxf viewer or DWG trueView).
Sometimes Fusion generates files properly. Today i tried to export dxf from project i have attached earlier and it exported it properly. Files exported yesterday look like in my first post.
It is a little bit tricky - one time it works and one time it doesn,t

Yes I am using Windows 7 64bit

One thing we can check right now, can you attach a "bad" dxf like you show in your image. I can quickly check that in ACAD. It might give clues.

Thanks.

I see it in AutoCAD.

When I look at the dxf in a text editor, it's clear where it goes wrong, but I can't imagine how to reproduce it. I've tried many things in Fusion and get nothing but good flats.

Can you think of any factor that may play a role here, outside or inside Fusion? Is there something in common between all the "good" flat exports, or common to all the "bad" ones? (in or outside of Fusion).

I can log a bug now, with this information on the thread here, but it's going to be hard to fix if we cannot reproduce it. Any info helps.

(internal reference FUS-37447)

Thanks,

@Anonymous

We have found the root cause of this issues. It is due to the use of a comma as decimal separator. This is usually controlled by your OS locale settings.

For now, switch to use a "." as decimal separator instead of ",". This will produce good dxf files. For instance "10,25 mm" (ten and one quarter millimeter) is problematic, while "10.25 mm" is not.

While the cause is known, I'm not sure how deeply this will affect other areas of Fusion, so I cannot guess about a release date. The solution is currently being tested and I would imagine it will release in the next update or two, but I cannot promise. Using "." for numbers should help for now.

Sorry for any inconvenience, please let me know if you have questions.

I kept in mind your answer until today.
Today i generated some dxf's.
The first "Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4" was corrupted.
So I decided to generate it again: "Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4a" - it was also corrupted.
then i restarted F360 and generated dxf again: :Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4b" was corrupted.
So I turned F360 off, changed decimal separator in Windows 7 from , to . (from comma to dot).
You can take a look how to change it here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_word-mso_win10-mso_365hp/changing-decimal-separator-from-comma-to-dot/953556fb-00d0-45ad-bd4f-6ca8afa5025a
Then i run F360 and I have generated this beautiful dxf which is PERFECT TADAA: "Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4c"

Phil E. Thank you very much.

Edit:
I can only attach 3 files so I won't attach "Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4b" becaule it looks like "Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4" and "Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4a".
"Cetka_OtworSrodkowy v4c" is more important.

It appears that the bug fix should make it to customers in the next update, barring any unforeseen complications or bad testing results. For now keep using "." and after the next update if you could please confirm that it fixes the problem that would be fantastic.
