topic G-code in Fusion Support Forum

Hello,

I am new to Fusion 360. I have a task of generating G-code for 3D printing using stl file. Where the printer only reads the simple G-code with additional virtual axis information for changing the Extruder type. What I have experienced so far that we can generate the printing Gcode for the MakerBoard only.

How can I tackle this problem? Can I use the milling concept for this case?

Or is there any code available for converting the step file to G-code for 3D printing? I can edit that code and use it for my purpose.

Regards,

Muhammad Eirij

For 3d printing you should use a dedicated slicer like Slic3r, cura or Simplify3d. The CAM output from Fusion is not designed to produce G Code for 3d printing.
