Can you please attach the Fusion file that you're seeing this behavior on, as well as the post processor (.CPS file) that you're using? It sounds like this could be a post processor issue, but hard to tell with out some more information. In the time being, there are some overrides in the post processor dialog on some posts which can adjust some speeds. Have a look at these settings and maybe some adjustment will clear up the issue. Also, check these settings on the linking tab in the operation itself. Thanks again, hope this helps and I look forward to your reply!

Fusion 360 CAM Cutting at Lead in/out feed rate

Hello

I have noticed that Fusion 360 Cam is cutting not at the cutting rate but at the lead in (or out) feed rate. I usually leave these the same, but on this job, the cutter entry is not very pretty, so I am attempting to work around that plunging action by having a slower lead in and out.

Currently I have the lead in and out feed rates set at 10 IPM and the cutting feed rate at 50 ipm. This is on a 2d pocket ( I abandonded adaptive clearing as it was too erratic in its plunging).

When I run the G code, I get the cutter running the whole tool path at 10 IPM. It seems to maintain the lead in rate even after the lead in is complete and it is running the cutting path...

Has anyone seen this?

Thanks in advance

MJ
