Total crash on OSX

Hi. I've been using F360 about 2 years on osx (High Sierra now) with nvidia GPU.

About summer 2017 F360 started crashing the GPU and the whole computer, narrowed on just zooming and panning on Freeform mode.

I've sent dozens of crash reports (first times F360 detected error and let me send reports. Right now, or Finder or the whole computer reboots) but have no answer. Adduced memory issues (CPU or GPU) but tools and benchmarks report ok.

What to do now?

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with Fusion 360.

Unfortunately I was not able find crash reports with the email address associated to this post (but found those you sent last November).

Can you please collect the Diagnostic log files and send them to kanehiko.saito@autodesk.com so that I can investigate this behavior.

Also, would you try the followings and see if this makes any differences?

I am still discussing internally about this behavior.

In order to further investigate this, would you mind sending an error report to us? This link guides how to send the error report.

Also, I would like to know more about this behavior: Can you please let me know what operation with Fusion did bring the crashes mostly?

Did this happen with all the data? - if this happened with a particular model, you would please share a public link to the model with me.

Hi again,

The error is always during orbiting/panning camera, and recently discovered only in Freeform (Without capturing history) mode.

It's not a specific model but prone in those with more faces. Here's the latest model nevertheless http://a360.co/2Et1f4E

Cannot send you the mentioned error report as the computer reboots (or OSX session re-spawns, if lucky). Opening F360 after the reboot does not show any dialog of failure to send you anything but the previously attached reports.

I will try to do a screencast ASAP, but the video feed will be probably get none as the computer locks and reboots.

Thank you for the update with the system logs!

I discussed with my colleague and we assume this might be related to an issue with graphic or network at this time.

For graphics, in order to see if Fusion is using the graphics card and driver appropriately, can you please share the screenshot of the Graphics Diagnostics dialog with me? The below image guides how to find the dialog. You would like to post in this thread or to send me via an email as well.

For network connectivity, I am curious to know if you are using a proxy server.

Would you mind trying to run Fusion if you have other ways to connect with internet?

** Please confirm that you are using the latest update of Fusion "2.0.3802".

About network, I'm not behind a proxy. I will try other network connection (Have to figure how right now).

BTW I'm confused a named kernel panic by the Graphics driver could be related with Network, doing a zoom O_o

Just to check - have you tried to switch "Graphic driver" to "OpenGL Core" in the Preferences - General tab?

Can you try to switch to the offline mode and see let me know if this makes differences?

Hi,

Have to spare some time doing tests this weekend, made the network change
and opengl settings, and seems improved stability,
but I want to invest some time to narrow the problem, so my issue can help
others with similar problem.

Hi again,

Definitely was the OpenGL driver. Now using OpenGL Core Profile and not a crash on 2 hours..

It's a bit weird nevertheless, because I've got a bunch of 3d software that runs perfectly fine.
