Hi @timdrink01

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, there is not currently a way in Fusion Team to allow read-only access to the Assets folder - if team members need access to the Assets, they will need to be Team Members or Team Administrators. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. If you'd like to see the option to limit permissions in the Assets folder, please post this idea on the Fusion 360 Ideastation. Our product management team goes through the Ideastation weekly to look into user feedback and prioritize new features - you'd certainly have my vote!

I'm attempting to setup a Fusion Team Hub so that we can share posts and tool libraries. I have two members of the hub at present. My account is the admin.

I can see the assets via Fusion 360 but I'm trying to get another accounts access as well. I can't find a way to invite them. When I go to admin for the assets project I'm shown as an editor and not the admin. There is a button to make my account project admin but it doesn't seem to work.

The other account that I wanted to have access to the assets was set as a Project Contributor I changed their setting to Team Member and they now have access to the assets. So I think that is resolved.

What I still don't fully understand is what is the difference between a team member and a project contributor.

Hi @timdrink01

Thanks for posting! I had a look at the Assets folder this morning and believe I can help out.

The Assets project folder is shared automatically with all team hub members who are either Team Administrators or Team Members - Project Contributors in the hub will not have access to the Assets folder. Is the other member in your hub using Project Contributor permissions? If so, changing their role in the "Members and Roles" tab (within the Admin section in your account of the team hub in a web browser) should grant them access.

I would recommend having a look through our learning material (specifically the Admin guide) as you get set up - this may help out as you move forward.

I found that I was unable to make any team hub members project administrators in the Assets folder as well - I believe this is working as intended. Anyone who is Team Admin or Team Member in the hub should be shown as an editor in the Assets folder - this will give them full access to upload, delete, or add new versions of Assets.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

EDIT: Thanks for the update! Glad to hear things are now working. Team members are a hub role, while project contributor only gives permissions to the projects that that user may contribute to. This is explained in the learning material linked above - feel free to reach out with any questions.

I just buzzed through the admin guide and couldn't find any mention of assets specifically. This is the closest thing I could find:

I was planning to have it setup so that only the admin could create projects but if I have to make them a 'Team Member' they'll then also be able to create projects which I was hoping to avoid. At the same time I want to control who has permission to modify/delete posts and tool libraries. It would seem that it is currently an all or nothing approach as the only functional role is 'Editor'. I don't want users to be able to modify a post that is dialed into a particular machine, I was hoping Fusion Team would be the solution to that. Maybe there is another solution?
