Reference points while sketching

Frustratingly new to F360...day 1

When drawing in AutoCAD LT, references to other points in a drawing can be activated by hovering over the desired points. This is an extremely useful feature for making things line up and connect properly. Is there any similar function in F360? Something as simple as placing a hole precisely in the center of a drawn body appears to require considerable effort.

Fusion 360 does have a point reference ability similar to AutoCAD LT. You should try your best not to try and use Fusion 360 like you used AutoCAD, you will only find more frustration. Approach is like an entirely different program with different concepts and techniques. In my screencast I show you how to use what I think you are referring to as reference points. Also you can use implied sketch constraints to help with your sketching. I also would like to invite you to take a look at the following webpage which has an included YouTube video. I think it will really help your Fusion 360 sketching.

While there are similarities i would agree with @jhackney1972 and look at them differently.

Autosnap and tracking are part of Fusion however they do differ from LT. With adding holes to bodies - i would recommend using References:

To that point you can add sketch geometry to draw your holes by making that geometry visible for the hole feature. I like to add my lines and a point then use Hole and the point i created:

This demo is great. I think the problem was that I was trying to sketch without selecting a drawing pane. Once I did the references were all there!

Thank you Ryan. Drawing reference lines was the solution that finally worked for me yesterday. If I had known to select a plane first - as mentioned in my last post - I would have had it done that way. There's so much to learn just starting out but like everything else, once you "get it" it seems simple. Your help is appreciated.
