I had the same problem on 4/24/2024
I hadn't signed into Fusion 360 for a while and it told me I had to update the software before it would let me log in. So I tried. But it kept telling me that it didn't have access to the Internet, yet I in fact did have such access and could use Google Chrome to access the Internet just fine. I tried on another computer where I also have Fusion 360 installed and, same problem.

Today I came across this Support request posting, followed the suggested fix and, ta-daa!, it's now working.

So, thank you for the solution but, man, very weird and frightening.

Since this happened on at least two people, one right after the other, maybe there's something that should be looked into as to why it's behaving this way.

Hello,

I cannot update fusion (log file states there are corrupted or missing files)

I tried restarting, then the usual disk repair steps, clearing my cache, and finally repairing and resetting fusion. Interestingly the repair function just closes the service utility and nothing further happens.

I tried to uninstall fusion 360 from the service utility, control panel, and launching the the uninstall.wsf file directly as well as in command prompt as administrator. In all cases I get this.

I saw another post with this error where a replacement webdeploy folder was provided but this did not work for me. However if I launch the uninstall.wsf script provided there but not in the fusion appdata folder it does run, but terminates with an error message saying that "were not sure what's wrong". I am running it as an administrator.

I'm currently trying to see if I can install fusion from the client downloader without uninstalling first but that is the last option I can think of

@rsamplesQXCGB Apologies for this experience. Here is what I am going to suggest:

1. Close Fusion if exe is running in the task manager
2. Delete the shortcut that you use to launch Fusion (This is important )
3. In the above image that you posted go to Appdata/local and delete the Autodesk folder
4. Re-download the Autodesk Installer (this is important)
5. Install Fusion

Does that solve the problem?

The installer changed in January as a result of rebranding and not sure if old links are contributing to the issue. Downloading the installer again is the key to this fix.
