Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! The first place to check for a post is the Autodesk Post Library - you may be able to find a post that will work for you there. The generic Fanuc turning post may be a good place to start with your machine/controller.

If you find that the generic post options need to be edited for your machine/controller, please reach out on the HSM Post Processor forum or to an Autodesk CAM reseller to have the post customized. This is described in more detail at this link.

Once you have an edited post from the forums or a reseller that will work for your machine, you can install it to either your cloud or personal posts.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

I ll be very grateful if you could help me because I need to create this interaction in my post processor for cb ferrari..

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting. I tested out the Interactive Fanuc post today and found that it was working for me in Inventor HSM and Fusion 360 - the screen below will be shown after posting an operation using the normal post process workflow:

These are the "questions" being asked by the post.

There are some things to consider:

It appears that the interactive post does not work on Mac OS, which I believe is an OS limitation.

When installing the post, you need to install all three of the files from the ZIP download into the post folder (or your cloud posts). The .hta file is the executable that pulls the dialog above and the PNG file is the banner in the dialog shown above.

I hope this helps! For further help creating an interactive post, I would recommend reaching out to the resources on the HSM Post Processor Forum.

Hello @paul.clauss

Thank you so much for your response and your time. Well, I am trying to create now an interface for user interaction based on the PP of fanuc interactive. I tested the PP of fanuc interactive and the formats are ok but i have this error message :

[ Error loading file 'C:/Users…'
The process can not access the file because this file is used by another process. ]

I also took just the functions of showDialog and the function Entry onOpen of Fanuc interactive and I Added them to my PP and still have this error message.

Do you have an idea please about the cause of that? And is the function showDialog in the PP of fanuc interactive the one that creates this interface user or I should create others?

Thanks a lot again for your precious help.

Have a great week
