Hi,

I am trying to get a flat pattern from a sheet metal design that I mirrored.

I can flat pattern both sides individually but can not join them to flat pattern as one.

Is there a work around on this or am I missing something?

As you have found, creating a flat pattern of a sheet metal part in Fusion 360 is per body. So what you have to do is shift back to the Model environment and use the "Combine" command to create one body from the two. Then you should have no problem unfolding the one body. Take a look at the screencast and see if it explains it for you.

You are new to the forum so I will give you some advice to get quicker and more relevant answers. Always attach your model to the question. This not only makes it quicker for others to answer because they do not have to construct a model but it uses your work so it is more relevant to your job. My example I create may be miles away from yours so you may still have questions.

Thank you for showing me the correct way. I was going back to the model environment and trying to join but made the same small mistake you did in the first instance and picked the wrong body for the target body! Thank you again you have brought up a very important lesson for me.

Cheers.
