Hi Tim,

Do you have dual graphics cards? I.e. Intel and Nvidia? If so, could you try running Fusion with the Intel GPU? If that removes the issue, I believe the issue is with the Nvidia card. To do this, right-click the desktop icon for Fusion and select “Run with Graphics Processor”. If you do not see this option (and does have two GPU’s), you can enable it via the Nvidia settings per the link below:

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/520731/can-39-t-find-34-run-with-graphics-processor-34-option/

To fix the issue with Nvidia card, you may need to clean uninstall Nvidia drivers using the advanced install options. Please note it may be required to do this in safe mode.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, I stated, in the original post, that we have dual graphics cards with the Nvidia 980M. I just completed a clean install in Safe Mode with no change in status. Also, Fusion will run with the Nvidia disabled, but I get the graphics card is not good enough message at the top when Fusion loads.

I know the program can function with the Intel card but that cannot be the final solution. I want to be able to utilize the 980 for more of the graphics intensive operations in Fusion that bog down my other computers. Let me know what else you can come up with.

I appreciate all of your help to this point. I hope we can get this figured out.

Tim

Thank you for your response. Could you try the following steps to see if that makes a difference? I just learnt that this has worked for some other customers with the same issue.

Open Fusion

Go to Preferences

Change Graphics Driver to be DX9 instead of DX11

Restart Fusion

That seemed to have done the trick! Thank you for all of your effort in helping to resolve this issue. Are there any plans to completely fix this issue so that those of us experience this problem can actually run DX11?

Tim
