New Project Operation Failed

I haven't used Fusion 360 in several months, but decided to run it today. My free trial expired, so I signed up again as an enthusiast again. Now when I try to create a new project, I get the error "Operation Failed" immediately. I uninstalled and installed a new version with the same result.

From the myhub web interface, when I can see my existing projects and when I try to create a new project, it fails and I get a popup box that says:

Project limit exceeded
You’ve exceeded the number of projects allowed in the A360.

Based on searching through the forums, this looks like it may be a bug on the backend side when a free trial expires? Can you please take a look?

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Fusion community!

I am sorry to hear that is happening! Just to check - it may be that the Start-Up/ Enthusiast entitlement just needs a bit of time to sync. If you check the Help > About dialog, does it list the entitlement type?

If it does list correctly, can you please post the Diagnostic log files for Fusion in the system, by going to the help menu ([?] icon) on the right top corner of the Fusion window and selecting "Diagnostic Log Files in the menu? It would be helpful to investigate the issue. This web site guides how to collect the log files.

It is working again. It appears to have been a sync issue. Even though I wasn't able to create a new project during the time it was 'desync'd', I could still create a new design within an existing project, so I proceeded to do that and it saved just fine. Now that I can create new projects, I'm good to go! Thank you.

I'm having the same issue. I haven't used Fusion in about 6 months. My hobbyist license expired so today I dropped in and payed the $500 for an annual subscription. All excited to jump back in and get started on a new project. Of course, Fusion immediately failed me on that simple task, uuggghhh...

I'm just getting an error that says operation failed when I try to create new project. It doesn't say anything about usage limits.
my old projects are still available
when I go to help/about it says (Active plan: Fusion 360, Subscription)

I appear to be having the same problem. I am a new to Fusion 360 and I am listed as a "Active Plan: Fusion 360 Startup" user expiring in 2020. I have been going through the tutorials and want to try things out. When I enter a name to create a new project I get the message "Operation Failed". I can still access old projects. My diagnostic file is attached. I would appreciate any direction you can give me.

I am having the same problem. I am a new user just getting started on Fuson 360 with a Startup license. I can create new sketches in the existing Demo Project folder, but I get the message New Project Operation Failed if I try to create a new project. Diagnostic report is attached.

Sorry to hear that is happening. Can you please go to login.autodesk360.com and try signing in? Are you able to see or create projects there? If not, can you share some screenshots of any errors you have?

Hi!

Due to the license changes, I had to re-activate my free personal license. Now when I log in, I'm not able to create anything. No directory, no project, no file. All I get is 'Unavailable with basic access'. How do I get this to work again?

Same is happening to me. I haven't used F360 in almost 4 years (Feb 2016) and it refuses to create anything new. I just looked and it says "usage limit exceeded" and I have never used any of this stuff.

Log stuff is attached.

The same problem (Operation failed when try to create New Project).
Signed up for "Pesonal" plan 3 days ago.
Sync is OK in "MyName's First Project", can create folders inside this project.
Tried on 2 MacBooks.

For me I had to make a team as personal folder will only allow one. Basically they want everyone using teams.

I couldn't find how to create Team inside the app, but find this option on the web.
They suggested "3- days trial" for the Team site. Does it mean that Team option is not free for Personal license?

Hitting the same issue. About 2hrs ago I renewed my license (personal/hobbyist) after not using Fusion 360 for over 6 months. For a while Fusion 360 showed "Expired: Subscribe now" but after waiting for quite a bit, I was finally able to login without errors. Now I can't create a new project. It says I reached some limit but it doesn't tell me what the limits are. I'm now stuck.

Is there a fix for this problem?
