    <description>&lt;P&gt;Im having the same problem, my search for a solution found this thread.. Frustrating that a graphics program doesn't use the GPU .. only the CPU .. which was the reason I bought this MSI Stealth.. After reading your comment about the cooling fan, please be aware that MSI have a governing program called Dragon Centre, where you can increase the RPM of your fans to accommodate cooling for high processing loads.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I'm still getting Shutdowns.. I will have to keep searching for a solution and I will say that if AutoDesk made Fusion 360 to use a graphics card rather than the CPU then perhaps no one would have this problem in the first place, mind you Im not a coder so perhaps there is a legit reason for why they chose not to utilise a GPU .... for graphics processing.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Fusion 360 shuts down my computer</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;When I use Fusion on my MSI laptop GL62 6QD it shuts down. The temeprature is low - aprox 50*C, cpu utilization 10%, realy easy models (I'm a beginner). It is the only one program with this strange behavior. When I start the computer after that it starts normalny.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I reinstalled Fusion 360 - without better results. On my another PC it works perfectly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Another strange thing - when I work it's generaly ok (it's enough to move mouse) but when&amp;nbsp; don't use it ( for ex. to calc something) it shuts down my computer. I changend screensaver settings - and of course nothing has changed. Mayby it's fortuity&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;This is most likely an issue with that computer - as evidenced by it working fine on another computer. We'd need to know a lot more information - like if you're getting blue screens or if its just shutting off. And you ought to look into event viewer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Fusion will not just shut off a computer - something is happen and Fusion, being CAD software is demanding on a system.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;Its just shutting off. There is no lag or not responding window. One second and screen is black and computer is off.&amp;nbsp;It doesn't&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;matter that laptop is connected to power supply or works on battery.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Where can I find solution?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I instaled the newest grpaphic driver.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Without looking into event viewer we won't know. Since the power is completely off that usually means an over heat or component fault - like ram/hdd/cpu etc. Fusion is going to use more of all of that during normal use. Video games are mostly graphical and don't tend to use much ram - which could be the problem.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;For bluescreens(BSOD) or immediate shutoff without the blue screen you need to to Windows Logs and System then search for a red X or ! with an Error around the time it shut off. There should be a general description of why and details/stop code for why the program shut off.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Immediate shut off without warning is usually bad hardware or overheating.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I found one with "red X" (Screenshot)&lt;BR /&gt;I'll try translate:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;System was restarted without clear shut down. Possible cause of error: OS was not responding or failed or ther was unexpected loss of power.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Laptop worked on battery (~75% level), no problem with battery, during powerd from wall nothing is changed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That error has the best starting points. I would do some memory testing and maybe boot into recovery and scan for issues with the OS. You can also look for more errors to see if there is another probable cause.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Its still a windows/hardware issue. The event log specified a power failure. The only thing that is happening from Fusion is that its using system resources and at some point a component is forcing the shutdown.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Inventor and Fusion use resources slightly different but given enough time I would suggest that the computer will force shutoff if faulty hardware is to blame.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've tested memory - no issue&lt;BR /&gt;I made OCCT power supply test, graphic test, cpu test&amp;nbsp; -&amp;gt; all components under maximum load -&amp;gt; stable without problem, max temp 80* (it's a good restults according to quite high&amp;nbsp; temperature in my room and remember that it is laptop)&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;So why do you thing that this is hardware issue?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Mayby it is a windows problem, but I write here to find a solution, because only Fusion shuts down the computer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Fusion doesn't have anything in it to force shutdown a computer. It could hog enough resources to cause overheating, use a bad sector etc. But the hardware and operating system are the only things that will force shutdown a computer. Again this is what Microsoft says about the error in the log:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2028504/windows-kernel-event-id-41-error-the-system-has-rebooted-without-clean&amp;nbsp;" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2028504/windows-kernel-event-id-41-error-the-system-has-rebooted-without-clean&amp;nbsp;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;The only thing i can recommend to do is &lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-do-an-automatic-Clean-Uninstall-for-Autodesk-Fusion-360.html" target="_blank"&gt;Clean uninstall and reinstall Fusion 360&lt;/A&gt; and see if it still happens.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>I figured out the problem, it seems to be an MSI issue, the cooling fan for&lt;BR /&gt;the GPU is insufficient. I upgraded it and now I have no problems. I set&lt;BR /&gt;the fan to run all the time at full speed. The GPU was heating up fast&lt;BR /&gt;and the fan couldn't keep up, which caused the machine to just shut off, it&lt;BR /&gt;is hard to notice unless you are watching the temps constantly. I had to&lt;BR /&gt;modify the fan bracket and used a slightly higher cfm fan, all I could find&lt;BR /&gt;was a 4 wire so I pulled the female plugs out of the fan connector and put&lt;BR /&gt;them back in the right config. Problem solved. Have been running the&lt;BR /&gt;machine with the GPU overclocked and using Fusion, no issues. Be careful&lt;BR /&gt;because the larger fans draw more amps, not sure how this will affect the&lt;BR /&gt;life of the fan driving circuit.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
