I am unable to supply the drawing publicly but I was able to sort it out. When I used the body to create a component I accidentally made an empty component. So the main body was not inside the component. When I added the part to the assembly it took the body but not the material. Deleting the component and making a component from the body and updating the assembly and drawing fixed the problem. I am not sure why it took the body and not the material. The assembly showed the material as 'mixed'. That led me to the solution. (I knew I should have listened to Trippy...)

I have a drawing of a assembly of parts created from separate drawing and components. All of the parts have their material specified. In my parts list on the drawing all of the parts show the material except for one. I have tried forcing the part to change and updating all the dependencies but no material shows up. I can't share the drawing publicly.
