Hello Pawel,

I hope you don't mind me digging an old resolved post. I'm trying to calculate mass as well. Fusion does the sum for bodies but components stay appart. I did selected all bodies and components I need to weight. I calculate it myself, no big deal, but if there is a way (I've tried center of mass but it doesn't display the info)... thanks in advance

I'm not sure that i would call this resolved. The OP asked to calculate the mass of a part of an assembly. The top-reply correctly noted that one can find the mass of an entire assembly with the Properties option. But how does one calculate the mass of a subset of parts. For example, I have an assemble for a large rack-system and I would like the mass of the rack but want to exclude the boxes on the rack. I have changed the visibility of the box-parts, but they are still calculated as part of the mass. The OP asked, similarly, how to calculate the mass of a subset. Is there an answer?

Hi,

You can display the mass of each subgroup by right-clicking on it.

Please share the file for reply

Hello,

Thank your for the reply.

On another thread, I receive an answer: link.

Quoting here: "Create a selection set with those components. Select the selection set. Right-click and select "Properties" from the menu. Unfortunately, we still cannot change the units in the properties UI, so you'll have to set the Document Settings to an appropriate unit. "

This answer worked well for me.

Thank you.
