Problem Obtaining Plane Reference

Hello,

I have a project that I started as a solid sphere that I hollowed out (shell) and would now like to use the section analysis tool on to see inside. However, there does not seem to be any "plane" (face) reference that I can use for the tool. I tried going to the construct offset plane tool and had the same problem.

I did not start from any sketch.

Can anybody assist me with this issue?

If you create your sphere centered on the origin of the model, you can use any of the origin planes with the Sectional Analysis tool. See my screencast for my process.

If you did not model the sphere on the origin, then you can create another plane use the tools under the Construct menu to make any plane you desire.
