Hi everyone,

Apologies if this isn't the correct place to post this. Trying to build up my skills with Fusion to build some basic 3d printed storage boxes but ran into an issue when trying to measure interior dimensions to ensure they are correct.

Whenever I try to use the Measure command on any of the interior dimensions, I can't seem to select below the top face (mouse cursor is resting over it in the image below). No issues with any exterior dimensions.

Figure it's probably something incredibly simple but searching for solutions hasn't turned up anything as of yet so turning to your collective expertise. Thanks!

Is there a clear, solid lid on your box? If so, that is what is getting selected. You need to either turn off the visibility of that component or body, or use Select Other (long left mouse click). This brings up this UI:

By selecting different "Faces" in this UI, you can select faces that are behind other geometry.

Thanks! No lid on the box as of yet, only what is included in the image so far.

Either way, the long left click Select Other method you suggested allowed me to select the right edge/vertices and get the measurement I needed.

For sake of learning are there best practices to avoid this type of issue or is it just something to be aware of and work around using this method?

Thanks for all your help. I think you should be able to access the model through this link.

https://a360.co/3UJSY3V

Interestingly the measure tool doesn't seem to have the same issue so not sure if there is another preferred way to share the model file.

Unfortunately, that link does not allow me to open the model in Fusion itself. However, I can see from the view that there is just a single body there, and it appears that the top is open. I do see some internal ribs in the box, and I can imagine that those might get in the way of selection during Measure, but just rotating the model should make all parts of the model visible, and should be selectable.

If you can Export the model as a "Fusion Archive" (F3D) file, and attach it here, I can take a closer look in Fusion itself

Thanks. The model is much more helpful. What is getting in the way of your selections is this sketch:

If you turn off visibility of this sketch, you will not have to use Select Other in Measure
