topic Break a link to an external assembly, and keep joints inside the external assembly in Fusion Support Forum

Hi guys, I have created a jig that is parametric assembled so that when I type material size, the jig automatically changes.

So far good.

Now, I create a Fusion Manufacture program, and wanna use already created jig/fuxtures whatever it is called in English. After inserting into Design it is created as external reference. So far also good until you use it in another program, and chenge size...it will update everything since it is ext reference.

There is a option to "break a link" in external assembly. Problem is it also destroys all links/joints/parametres inside the external assembly. How can you make a copy including all, please?

In SolidWorks I can simply insert an assembly inside the assembly as a copy, and then modify all parameters inside the curent assembly.

Any suggestions, please?

I'm not sure I understand the problem. See the attached video. I have a sub-assembly that contains a joint, and a top-level assembly with two instances of that sub-assembly. The joints work. Then, I Break Link on one instance of that sub-assembly. The joint is included and seems to function correctly. Am I missing something? Example model (before Break Link) is attached.
