Hi @Anonymous,

thanks once again for the screencast. I reported this behavior to our development team so that they can have a look. In the meantime, you can check this article for some known issues related to the Data Panel in Fusion 360: Data Panel does not function in Fusion 360. I would focus on the paragraph about missing projects or data and review the network settings by verifying your network connection: Troubleshooting Network Connectivity Issues for Autodesk Fusion 360.

Aside from the question above, I would also like to ask you to send us the diagnostic log files for Fusion 360:

Select Diagnostic Log Files.

Please let me know if you are able to access the disappearing data when you access a the project it is stored in (as opposed to My Recent Data folder). Thanks in advance!

Have been trying to find out why my dwgs do not load automatically when starting Fusion (not an internet connection problem). Have had no problem for the past year.

I have recently changed my subscription from a free trial to a paid - I am not sure if that could have created the problem. I have tried to reinstall Fusion and make a few test object. One of these loads but the other object seems to load and disappear in a fraction of a sec. The lost dwgs (if they are lost) does not represent a problem but I would like to know if this could happen again and if so - how to prevent it.

Before reinstallation I got a copy of the log which I will include here.

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! Are you referring to DWG files specifically or for Fusion 360 designs in general?

Could you describe your workflow to clarify the issue a bit or record a short screencast presenting it (see: Autodesk Screencast)?

Some suggestions on how to deal with failed uploads are listed here: Difficulties Uploading, Saving, Opening, Viewing, or Exporting a file in Fusion 360.

Thanks in advance!

Screencast link shown above.

A am referring to specific 3 d design files that I saved and uploaded over the past year, these files are usually presented on the left side under "My Recent Data" after Fusion start up . These files no longer appears.

A few days ago, to test what was going on; I made 2 new simple 3d designs after reinstalling Fusion (to see if this solved the problem but it did not). The newest of these uploaded dwg files do appear but the oldest made sometimes appears and then only for a second as can be seen on the screencast.

A have an Intel i7 4770K CPU that has a built in GPU of only 0.2 GB memory but that has not been a noticeable problem for that past year using Fusion. And I have the latest Intel drivers for the GPU installed.

One thing that is different, though, is that since I "lost" access to my old dwgs I have not seen any automatic downloaded updates to Fusion that usually arrives about once every week - when I start up Fusion. This could possible signal a server personal account problem?

As for network settings - I just changed the setting in preferences according to recommendation this made no difference.

I have a cabled ethernet connection to the router that has a 50/50 Mb/s fiber connection.

Re screencast I have uploaded the screencast but have no idea to where - hence I have tried to include it in a separate mail.

Thanks for your assistance

Best regards

Bjørn

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks a lot for the screencast! I was slightly confused about the mention of a DWG - the native Fusion 360 3D designs are actually in F3D format.

I have seen a few mentions of data disappearing from the My Recent Data folder, but I haven't seen this behavior yet.

Do you see the design as expected when you activate View offline cache in the settings below?

My Recent Data View Settings

Are you able to find the data missing from My Recent Data folder in the project they were created in?

Thanks!

HI

And thanks for your assistance.and your two mails.

Before I get started answering your questions I have one, do I answer you in this mail, or in the community forum, seems a bit confusing to me if both are possible??

Sorry about dwg mix up, I come from Autocad 🙂

1) re do I see the designs expected when I activate View Offline cache in the settings. The answer is no I don't.

2) You asked if I was able to find the missing data from My Recent Data folder and the answer to that is YES - if I use the search buttton

If I use a wildcard character in search it seems to find all -. however the displayed files are dimmed to grey - are these back up files?? I tried to load one it works and is no longer dimmed - after closing Fusion and starting up again the loaded file is no longer dimmed.

I have enclosed a screencast the shows what happens.

I have also enclosed the log file (it was enclosed in the posted message in the community forum).

I have another question: How do I check if I received the Fusion update that was published on the 17 Sept. 2018. As I have already stated it seems like the first anomaly occured after my Fusion account changed from free trial to paid subscription.

I tried to delete the latest made Fusion 3D test file I had made, it lasted more than 3 hours before the file was deleted. And again I have a very stable cabled ethernet to fiber connection of 50/50 Mb/sec. I do not understand the slow server response.

https://autode.sk/2xHmigG

Best regards

Bjørn

I tried to send the above via mail but it got rejected.
