I subscribed to Convertio to convert a background JPG to an HDR file. It's 2.6 MB. It shows up as the custom library but will not show up as a background in the image to render. File too big? Is there a limit? Thoughts? Thanks! Leif

In the Scene Settings, have you selected the Custom Environment? If yes, have you also selected for your background to use an environment instead of a solid color?

Can you attach the HDR file. It is very possible the file isn't valid. Creating a custom HDR with a JPG converter tool doesn't seem like it would produce great results. I know that HDR has to have lighting environments, etc. Have you tested the environment in other programs that can open HDR's to see what it would look like?

Thanks,

Can you try a free HDR image from HDRI Haven and see if that works? I'm looking up the requirements for using HDR environments in Fusion. It's possible the conversion is creating an environment that is not valid.

Sometimes the issue can be the file proportion or aspect ratio. HDRs usually are in a 2:1 aspect ratio. If you try to resize the file to 1200 x 600 px for example, does it work?
