unable to fix the transformation pivot

when trying to transform the position of an item with a rotation , the pivot point is preset

i select the SET PIVOT option and set the dimensions to place the pivot where desired ( it will not drag to new position )

when correct i select the TICK to confirm

it then reverts back to the original position

what am i missing ( apart from 1 hour of my life already)

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you are working through setting the pivot properly, but I'm a bit confused because I don't have the "Set Pivot" option when the Move command is set to Rotate.

I've walked through the procedure I'd use in the screencast below and hope this will help. Please let me know if you have questions!
