Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting. I am a little confused on when you are trying to use the "create components from bodies" option, but have walked through some advice that may be helpful in the screencast below. I hope this will help - please feel free to reach out with any questions.

The bodies should already be contained in the top level component (the saved design file), and you could always break the link to have both bodies editable in the assembly.

I would recommend having a look at this link for more information on assembly modeling in Fusion 360. Please also read up on R.U.L.E #1 in Fusion 360 - it is important to understand the differences between bodies and components.

Assembly from 2 different files

Hi, I've created 2 different bodies in two different files on Fusion, and I want to join them in an assembly. How can I achieve that? If i enter the one file and click on "Insert into current design", then for the body I just added, even though I can move it and it is visible, there is no option of "Create components from bodies" on it, hence , I cannot create my assembly. Any ideas on how I can fix that?
