I am seeing the same problem that the OP described and what I see doesn't match the description in the solution suggested.

The activate button only appears in the top level item, not on any of the bodies etc. below it in the tree. Right clicking brings up a menu that doesn't include activate.

Is there a reason why I can't activate these items? I've just created them in a really basic way, they aren't imported or anything like that.

Hi

beginner user, with possibly stupid problem, here.

I can't activate components. I have "Activate component" symbol only on my top part. I can't activate nothing else, except new components which I create after opening design. Some of non working components are created by "New component" command and bearings are downloaded from skf's web pages.

Also, Design history is showing only commands made after opening design.

Thanks for help

When making a new component it is activated for you,

Timeline is filtered to show only the articles in that component. Usually empty at first.

The radio button on the end of the component name, is a toggle button, click it to make that component active and the button indicates which component is currently active.

Opening a file is default to top component active, until you change it.

Might help....

Have you watched ant of the educational materials on the support and learning section ?

If not, a good time to do so would probably be now 😉

Thanks for fast answer,
Problem is that I don't have radio buttons on old components. I have radio
button on top part and on new components that I make after opening design.
If I want to modify older components from let's say day before and I'm
unable to do so.

@Anonymous, you can always select the component in the browser, right click, and choose "Activate" as another way to activate a component:

You cannot activate bodies, because activating bodies does not make any sense!

You can only activate components.

Understanding the difference between components and bodies is essential.
