topic Issue with SVG importation from Inkscape in Fusion Support Forum

Hello,
I have an issue when I import my svg from Inkscape. I think it is my svg shape that is not closed. It also seems that when I do minor changes, it is not always the same shapes that have an issue, so I don't really have an idea of the origin of the issue.

I have tried the solutions that I could find on the forum but none seem to fix my issue. I am still a beginner in using Inkscape so it may be something obvious.
Thank you for your help.

You SVG creation, if from Inkscape, is full of breaks in the profile lines. If you sketch a angled line across one of the areas that is not a profile and move it along from side to side of the area you will find the breaks. I would say that your issue is with Inkscape and not Fusion. The SVG will of course work with Thin Extrude command but I do not think that is what you want.

Thanks for your answer, I have check that my shapes are closed in Inkscape, it is the case (as you can see in the joint image). So I think it is an issue with the importation of Fusion or the characteristics. Maybe Fusion is waiting for a particular SVG format or properties.

The tolerance for "connected" is likely different for Inkscape and Fusion. For instance, focusing on the left-side eye boundary in this model:

using the divide-and-conquer method, we can see that the lower right side is fully connected, but the upper left area is not. Further, using Select Other, we can find that there is one place where there are two points:

and, further, using Measure, we can see that these two points are actually close, but not exactly the same:

making these points coincident (after unlocking the geometry), fixes the problem:

OK thank you a lot. I will try this method to correct my issue. It is still weird to me as this error seems to be really random : sometimes I have it, sometimes not...
