Fairly new to Fusion, I'm an 82 year old man just keeping busy designing items.

I think I'm getting into some real details.

I have been watching a video RC CAD-2-VR titled

Part 1 | How To Design Airplane Wings in Fusion 360 - Airfoils [Episode 2]

I'm sorry but he shows how to move a construction plane look so easy.

He selects the new construction plane and just taps the M key to move it, it moves very easily.

I have watched far too many videos to duplicate his moves and have failed.

FYI, I am using the free version because I'm just tinkering.

I don't know if that feature is missing in that version!

I am to the point that I'm at a complete standstill until I can get this problem resolved.

Currently using:

Fusion 2601.0.90 x86_64
Active Plan: Personal
Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (19045.4529)

Any and all responses will be deeply appreciated. I sure would like to continue designing this airplane, but again I'm at a standstill until fixed.

Thank you in advanced!

Jerome.

A Construction plane can be moved if it is created using the Create Base Feature command or by creating the Construction Plane in Direct Modeling mode. I think you would be much better off using the Create Base Feature command and maintain your Timeline and Parametric modeling capabilities. Once you create the Construction Plane, remain in Direct Modeling Mode until you do your move or return to it in the timeline later on. If you need further help, please ask. As far as copying a Construction Plane, you can do that using the Move command in Direct Editing Model

Hi,

This is only possible in DM (direct modeling mode > deactivated history).

I would only use this temporarily, if at all, to create the planes.

Proposal:
Create a new component and the first plane in it.
Then you can either make a pattern of this component with the same spacing or generate copies of the component with individual spacing.

You received some usable solutions to your question. You did not acknowledge that they helped you or you still have questions. It is customary to close out your Forum post by selecting the "Accept Solution" icon on the post that solved your issue.

Selecting the "Accept Solution" icon will do three things. First it allows others to find a solution to a similar question, two, it closes the Forum post and last, it acknowledges that you accept the solution given. If you need further help, please ask. If you like to read why "Accept Solutions are important, take a look at this webpage.
