Drawing projection

Hi,

A complete beginner here, working on my first Fusion 360 project.

I'm trying to make plans for woodworking out of my 3d model with dimensions so I know what to cut and where.

One problem I ran into is dimensioning drawings for components that are angled.

For example, I've got a wooden board that's angled away from the vertical plane by 10 degrees, and it has a hole in it I want to dimension.

The problem is, if I choose front view, my numbers are incorrect because as the hole projects onto the vertical plane, the vertical lines shorten.

Attaching the images to describe the problem.

Is there a way to draw a projection from a particular plane other than the predefined ones? Or how would I go about solving this?

In the model measurements, you can see the horizontal lines are fine, but the vertical ones give different numbers (60mm and 15.5mm) than the drawing (59.09mm and 15.26mm)

Thanks!

In the model workspace create a named view aligned with the face. Select the face and click Look At from the toolbar bottom of screen then create a named view. In the drawing you can select the named view as a base view.

Mark

PS don't forget to save the model or the view will not be available.
