Please use your authenticator app to generate security code

hi.

i cannot sign in to Fusion 360 software on my computer. after i had enter username and password, it keeps asking for the 6 digits code from this tab "Please use your authenticator app to generate security code". But i have no ideas where to get the code. i have also tried "use another methodd", but it still does not sign me in.

Hi @Anonymous,

I believe you are referring to the Two Factor Authentication that you must have enabled in your Autodesk Account. It should text the 6 digit code to your cell phone.

If you wish to bypass/disable this, visit your Autodesk Account, navigate to the Security Tab and disable 2 Step Verification.

You need to use Duo Mobile or Google Authenticator.

Actually, no, somehow the idiot Fusion360 app seems to enable 2-factor auth all by itself.

As if the setup process was not already sufficiently difficult and error prone

I had the same problem, and was able to enter the code from the Duo app. However, I do not believe that I had actually been the one to set this up. I do believe it somehow got enabled without my consent? I was super confused, because one day when I tried to log in, it simply would not offer me a way around this 2FA. I got in now using Duo Mobile.

I've tried today and all I get is a page saying I need to pay £3.99 to continue. I am not savvy with the new app and think I might have to ditch autocad
