Issue with Drop down arrows disappearing

Sometimes, the drop down arrows on the left start disappearing when I hover over them. When they go away, you cannot click on them unless you find just the right spot that they do not hide. I've had an issue with this for a long time, but it happens completely randomly, so it is hard to pin down. It mostly happens after fusion has been open for a while, and the only way that I have found to fix it is to restart fusion. I have had it happen on all kinds of different files, so I know it is not this file in particular. It is pretty rare to have a problem with it, I may go for a few weeks at a time without an issue. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

I've had the same problem before, but mine disappeared after an update, I think it went away in October or November for me. I know that isn't helpful unless you've been dodging updates for a while, just letting you know I've seen it happen.

I haven't had this issue till now. Did anyone ever figure this out? Is it a reoccurring bug through updates?

Yep, I still get it fairly often. Doesn't seem that any update has fixed it and I have yet to find what causes it if anything does in particular.

Some insight to issues like this:

In order to find and fix bugs like this, we need to be able to reproduce this. Unfortunately that's a lot harder than it seems for you. Looking at the history of this issue, in this thread, very few people actually get this, and if none of them are "us" we can't track down the cause of it.

It doesn't help that it's intermittent for you, because it makes it hard for you to tell me what causes it.

At this point, I have only a few tools to work with here, mostly characterizing the issue.

Looks like Windows only, please respond if you have this on Mac.
Does it go away if you do something specific? (like restarting Fusion, or your computer, or resize browser area)
Does it happen when you do something specific? (like opening a certain design, using Fusion on a second monitor, etc.)

I completely understand, it is a weird issue that is rare and comes up randomly. The only way to fix it that I know of is to restart Fusion. And I am on Windows. It seems to me that it happens the most when I am dealing with larger files with a lot going on, but it is really hard to say.

I am still occasionally getting it. I'm on Windows as well.

I think it seems to occur most often if fusion has been open and the computer went to sleep and was awoken again and then you resume using fusion.

Same happening here. Windows 10 latest updates. Radeon card. After reboot of computer, it goes away for a while. I haven't figured out what event starts it happening again.

That sounds like a graphics memory problem. If it only happens after some period of using Fusion and your computer, if graphics memory was not being released efficiently in graphics this might cause problems that go away after a reboot.

What happens if you only restart Fusion?

Thanks for the quick reply. If I restart Fusion, the problem is still there. It requires a reboot. I doubt it's a memory issue as I don't have other graphic issues with anything else on the computer. It is only this specific issue with drop down arrows in Fusion that others have also reported.

I did notice that there is a blue highlight that appears behind the arrow when it's hovered over. This blue highlighting stops when the glitch kicks in as you can see in my video.

Sounds like a software bug having to do with this hover over.

Yes. It's a software bug. So you know, Fusion is not the same as the other apps on your system. It may have different graphics problems than your other applications. Just because it's graphics memory problem, doesn't mean it's not a bug in Fusion. Make sense?

I still have this issue on both of my computers. One is running a GTX 1070, the other a 1060. I just recently upgraded to 32gb of ram on my shop computer and I still have this problem from time to time. The only way to fix it is to restart fusion. I do not have to reboot my computer though.

No rhyme or reason to it at all, sometimes I will go for a week or two without an issue. It is annoying, but I totally understand why it is hard to fix it... Hard to solve a problem that you can't recreate.
