Hi @Anonymous ,

I moved your post as you were getting a different error message. It looks like you do not have sufficient disk space, is there anything you can remove or delete from your computer? Does this help install Fusion 360? If not, you can also follow the directions here to try to install Fusion 360 on a drive other than C:.

@Anonymous , are you receiving the same error message "-2147286928, 'There is insufficient disk space to complete operation"? Can you please attach your diagnostic logs here so I can take a closer look.

This is what the error message from the logs and your screenshot say. Since it seems like you have ample installation space, you can try downloading the installer files directly from your Autodesk Accounts (manage.autodesk.com) page using the "Download Now" or "Browser Download" options, instead of installing using the "Install Now" option. Here is more information on download methods.

Let me know if you are still receiving the same error message after!

Hi Julia,

I made a post about it on the forums here, but it seems to be the same problem?

As I have said in the other thread, I have tried completely removing the install, manually and with the cleaner, I have tried with --globalinstall, and as admin. I have about 20G of free disk space.

Before that, the updates were failing, and the suggested action as an uninstall and reinstall, which is now not working ^^;

Thanks,

Hi @frank.rosquin ,

Try the following:

First, check your Task Manager (Windows) or Activity Manager (Mac) to quit any processes related to Fusion 360 (On Windows, you may find "Fusion360.exe" in the Task Manager)

Restart your computer will also clear any lingering applications. Run the installer again after quitting these processes.

It is also possible that virus-scanning software is blocking Fusion 360 installation. In this case, you will need to modify the security settings or temporarily disable the virus-scanning software, and then run the installer again.

You may also need to reset the Internet settings. and Clear the internet browser cache.

Browse to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Internet Option.

In the Advanced tab, select the Reset button to reset Internet Explorer's settings to the defaults

In the Security tab, select Reset All Zones to Default level

In the Content tab, select Clear SSL state

Select Apply

Try a different internet connection (e.g. go to a coffee shop, switch to/from a hotspot, etc.). Using an ethernet cable has also been known to help.

If you are still unable to install Fusion please attach a new copy of your logs.

Thanks,

It seems I have to completely and utterly disable Microsoft windows10 Threat Detection for fusion to do anything.

Re-enabling it afterwards makes fusion360 once again unusable.

I must say I find this quite unacceptable, I am not willing to run my windows install without it turned on. As a commercial product, I think Fusion360 should work with Threat Detection activated.
