I want to edit DWG file from Fusion 360 in DraftSight

Hello,

I would to modify my DWG drawing in DraftSight.

I exported DWG file from Fusion 360, then I converted it in DWG TrueView so DraftSight can open the drawing.

How can I edit the file in DraftSight or other 3rd software?

In DraftSight I can't move/delete/edit any lines of an object. I can only edit/remove text poles but I can't do anythink with the object.

Hi @baddipl

Thanks for posting! This is a known limitation for Fusion 360 at this time - drawing views are exported in a proprietary AutoCAD format and these views are maintained through the TrueView conversion. At this time, downstream edits need to occur in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.

The drawings team is aware of the pain points this can cause and is working on a future feature to "explode" a sheet, making work with DWG files in non-Autodesk software a possibility. While I cannot give a date on when this feature will be released, you can always keep an eye on the 2D Drawings Roadmap at this link.
