Fusion : Bug ... ?

Hi,

I am a French Free Fusion user.

I think the issue described below is a bug.

Everything in mm.

An Object, E5.4 E5.3+Miroir + Modifiy -> Shell that gives E5.4 E5.3+Miroir+Coque,

Modify -> Split Body this object with splitting tool = Z=0 plane

That gives an Error Message.

1. If I try the same operation with any created offset Z plane Z#0, for example Z=0.001, it works fine.

2. If I try with an Offset Z plane Z=10 and a Z=10 translated object, it works fine too.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of history, it is not possible to analyze the cause of a possible error.
Please upload a version including the history for review.

It's far from simple.

The best I can do is to attach the initial solid before Modify -> Shell

It's Splittable with Z=0 plane

It's created from a solid box - solid

Modify -> Shell, it becomes not splittable ...

Finally, 1. and 2. are not still working (?), but 1. with Z>=0.02mm is working ... (?)

More informations, some help from the French Forum.

There are two small streaks, 6,653mm long, inside at X=124.846, and X=-124.846, Y=225.228.

You could use the Split Body before it is shelled, shell each half afterwards and then Combine it back together. Model is attached.

Thanks, your result is nice 🙂

But I can't reproduce that, something missing I guess.

If I split the body first I obtain the "Coque 1" shell that is closed on 6 faces, "Coque 2", "Coque 3" with the 2 bodies.

How do you manage to "eliminate" the faces surrounded by red rectangles ?
