Issue with face select behaviour while in appearance menu

I had thought this was the normal behaviour of Fusion 360 until I opened it on my home PC and found otherwise;

On my work PC, to apply an appearance to multiple faces I have to

Select multiple faces
open the appearance menu
apply the appearance to one of the selected faces
close the appearance menu
make multiple selections
open the appearance menu
Apply the appearance

... basically I can't make multiple face selections while the appearance menu is up

However, I discovered at home that I could;

Open the appearance menu
Perform multiple selection while the appearance menu is open
Apply the appearance
Make another selection
Apply a different appearance

Why can't I select multiple faces with the appearance menu open on my work machine?

Is this a version thing or a bug?

@Ash_Watson , perhaps I am missing something here, but in the screencast below, I was able to:

start the Appearance command
set the mode to Faces
select multiple faces on the body
drag a material onto one of the selected faces - it applies to all selected faces

Hi Jeff, the video you show is the correct behaviour and appearance of multiple selection while the appearance menu is active, and I am able to do this on my personal PC laptop.

On my work laptop, however, I cannot perform multiple face selection while the appearance menu is active. What I have to do instead is close the appearance menu, make the multiple selection, reopen the menu and apply to the selected faces. If I want to apply an appearance to another group of faces I have to close the menu first and repeat.

Moreover, I don't see the visual style that selected faces take on when you enter the appearance menu (blue outline as opposed to blue infill)

Hi @karina.harper, here are some screengrabs.

@jeff_strater I've tried setting this both ways (edges with halo, and simple) and the selected faces still don't appear to be selected while the appearances menu is open.Half of these black faces are actually selected (See ""Multiple Selections" message on lower right of screen)Here, a different appearance has been applied to the multiple selection showing that they were, in fact, selected

Seems to be a bug specific to the GPU or GPU/CPU combo on this particular laptop.

It's not the only buggy behaviour I've seen on this laptop in particular.
